[FONT=&quot]We are coming off the secondary side of a transformer with a disconnect.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]The feeder run is approx. 125ft and terminates in a electrical panel located inside of a LAN room[/FONT]


[FONT=&quot]The transformer and disconnect are located in a locked electrical closet. The LAN room has its own locked door[/FONT]


[FONT=&quot]Tenant does not have access to electrical closet[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Doe the electrical panel in the LAN room need to have a main breaker[/FONT]


[FONT=&quot]If yes where is it in the code book[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]

can you clarify that the disconnect is on the secondary side of the transformer

is the disconnect on the xfmr secondary fused? if not, how are the transformer secondary conductors protected? 240.4(F).

Somehow the panel has to be protected. It can be protected in several ways. One way is with a main breaker. Or it could be protected by an upstream device such as a fused disconnect.

I am not sure the locked doors or whether the tenant has access to the transformer is a code issue.

I don't see where the panel is required to have a main breaker. There would need to be overcurrent protective device back by the trany

The panel in the LAN room is not required to have a main breaker, but even if it does, it does not change the requirement that "Each occupant shall have ready access to all overcurrent devices protecting the conductors supplying that occupancy, unless otherwise permitted in 240.24(B)(1)and (B)(2)."
