    4" Duct "Y" For 2 - Bath Fans

Does anyone know of a 4" Duct "Y" that one can use in order to exhaust 2 - bath fans out of a single 4" wall vent?

    Thank you,

panasonic inline fans come with what you are looking for...
a 4" wye, with flappers on each of the branches.

    so, they can be found.

Looks promising. I will let you know what the city inspector says. Thanks.

The fans typically already have back draft dampers included so you shouldn't need one in your wye.

That said when both are running you may not get the airflow you would if each were separately vented or if they combined into a larger common duct.

Will also make the fans quieter, which may be required if spec'd for their noise level.

Not a mechanical code violation for 2 bath fans exhausts to "Y" together. Dryer & other exhaust, yes. And, certainly NOT an electrical problem.

Not a code violation, but at the end of the day AHJ overrides applicable code, so best bet is to consult if you're in doubt..
