Hello all,

I have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have been in the consulting business (Commercial & Residential) for the pass 4 years, I also just passed the PE exam a few months ago. My questions is, do I have the required experience to apply for the test?

I can't speak for FL but that background would not qualify you to take either the masters or jouneymans tests in MA, RI or CT.

Personally I am glad of that, in my opinion people holding electricians licenses should have done electrical work.

In WA you can be an administer but can't touch the tools. An electrical contractor is required to have an administrator. Some shops have an electrician who is also an administrator.
