Any recommendations on a Diversi Bit. Greenlee has a 941 quick change kit for about $84.00.
I've not used a diversi bit before - am drilling top or bottom plate for a resi rewire.

I have used them but IMO they're not as great as they're advertised to be. For starters you need to use the holding tool to keep the angle correct. My first attempt with one was bending the bit towards the front without the tool and the bit ended up coming through the siding. :slaphead:

I would recommend the auger type because old dried out wood is hard to drill and the self-feeding of the auger helps reduce the pressure required.

they will get you where you need to go....

as mentioned, they should be used after rubbing your lucky rabbet's foot.
they do a fair job of winding up insulation, other romex, etc. be sure to get
the guide, or wear leather gloves to save your hands.

look before you leap, and use the littlest one you can get away with.
the 1" ones for half inch flex are just a PITA.
