    Mark Shapiro left us around 2013. There was a memorial to him a few years back on the IAEI site, http://iaei-michigan.org/program/ and a building dedicated in his name. He was a very prolific contributor on the code making panels as well as the IAEI organization. One of the best code instructors you could ever want to have, he lived it. I was taking his classes just about the time Mike Holt was getting started in the education business.

    The locals here feared him, cause he was an inspector that carried a tool bag. But he was similar to this forum back then, a wealth of knowledge and loved to share it.
