    osha

    Isn't their a osha rule that advises against doing elect. work in the rain.

    No. However you still have to do it safely. You also have to take care to make sure the innards of the equipment you are installing don't get wet.

    I don't think OSHA advises for or against anything. They tell you very plainly what you can and cannot do. That said I've worked in the rain may times. I keep a raincoat in the truck and sometimes I wear it (other times it just too hot).

    Since live work is forbidden in most cases, working in the rain doesn't really matter
    Electricians do it until it Hertz!
