hello all.

im working with a new guy who is trying to tell me that he can put multiple Romex cables under a single large clamp. He's got like 6 in q 1" clamp. He is assuring me this is fine but generally I thought only 2 cables were allowed in a clamp in general. Need to get this done today and inspector not in because of holiday

thanks!

It is all about how that particular model number connector is listed.

Some are only listed for 1 cable so one it is. Others are listed for more than one.

The only way to know for sure is to look up the listing or if you have the box it came in you may find the number and sizes of cables listed there.

Yes, correct. I just have never seen a clamp, the type used for service entrance cable, stuffed with 12/2. Just wondering if anyone has seen this.

Many times on various forums. Seems that this is the SOP in certain parts of the country just not around here.
