    208/240 xray machine

I misspoke in the first post. The xray machine is 208/240 single phase. How do I get this when the building service is 120/240 single phase? From a transformer or a new service just for this machine

240V seems like the obvious choice.

It seems You have a situation where this device will work with either voltage.
Either way You are dealing with phase to phase voltages.
    208 or 240.
That device would also be able to operate if the phase to phase voltage was 208.
You should just need to install a 240 volt circuit rated for the machine.
Also, You will want to make sure this equipment doesn't have some sort of setting that needs to be changed to the appropriate voltage. It should come set to the highest, which would be the setting You will want, but I'd check it to be sure.

Check any dual voltage rated motors also.
