A multiple gang box contains three 12/2 conductors with ground, two 14/3 conductors ith ground one 10/2 with ground, two duplex receptacles,( one fed by the #14 conductors, and one fed by the #12 conductors), and cable clamps. What is the minimum required cubic inch capacity of this box?

I get 44.5 but the answer key says 44.

I get 44 too. Pay close attention to your device allowances.

3-12/2 w/ground= 6 conductors x 2.25= 13.5
2-14/3 w/ground= 6 conductors x 2.00= 12
1-10/2 w/ground= 2 conductors x 2.50= 5
2 devices=4 x 2.25 = 9
1 cable clamp= largest is #10/ 1 x 2.50= 2.5
Ground largest is #10 / 1 x 2.50= 2.5

total 44.5

oh ok 2 devices 1 device is connected to a #12 and the other is connected to a #14
which would= 8.5 not 9
