    Question Ketek Old Panel???

In the basement of a recent project there are old looking panel boards. Ketek, Boston is written on the panel schedule. There are three small fuses about two inches long that are mounted to a plastic part that can be removed by a handle. The plastic part is three by five. I apologize for the lack of descriptive adjectives. I searched goggle to no avail. I took pictures by can not upload them.

Can anyone provide information on Ketek?

Justin Keytec is a mfg that obviously is no longer in business. I have them is some of the school I work in but those are plug fuse with snap sw and breaker panels. There are provisions for panels with fuses and snap switches in section 408 36(A)

    (A) Snap Switches Rated at 30 Amperes or Less. Panelboards
equipped with snap switches rated at 30 amperes or
less shall have overcurrent protection of 200 amperes

I'm not sure this will answer your question

    Charlie,

Thank you for your time. I am almost positive that it is spelt Ketek. I have never heard of Ketek before. I wanted to research a little about the company because they are obviously out of business.
There was a water line and mark in the Elevator mechanical room that stated flood of 3/01. It was about seven feet high. It’s Crazy to think that, the Ketek panels were submerged in water and Still Live today!

Talking about water, I took these photos about a week ago. It appears that this room flooded and the equipment has not been touch since. This is still working today.

    1793,

Love the use of piggy back circuit breakers. Wow!

If you don’t mind me asking, what happened in 1793?

That was the year Marie Antoinette lost her head and Jean-Paul Marat took his last bath.

    Norb,

I made a presumption that 1793 was a date. Perhaps it was a special occasion of sorts.
