Charging Batteries in a storage closet?

Are there minimum space requirements for charging lead-acid batteries because of off-gassing during charging? The equipment being charged is a ride-on floor cleaning machine with (4) 12v batteries being recharged overnight in a 10'x10'x8'H closet.

I assume these batteries are sealed lead acid with plug-n-cord chargers? If so not an NEC issue, and not really a concern.

The Batteries are conventional lead-acid deep cycle with vented caps. The closets' access is (2) 36"W x 84"H doors.

If I installed (2) louvered vents measuring 12"x18" in each door...one high and one low to create a natural convection in the space, could this be adequate?
