Default Resurrect drill battery's. Scam ???

Most of us kill quite a few battery's in our line of work. And they are so expensive to replace! Is this another scam, or is it possible? Anyone tried it?

many nicad battery packs for common tools are just repackaged C cells. you can buy them at harbor freight and replace the bad ones in your packs once you figure out how to get them open.

its also true that sometimes you can electrically burn out the short circuits that sometimes fry out cells in NiCad batteries.

i have read elsewhere that batteries plus will rebuild nicad packs for you, but don't know that to be true.

it's probably a system to send short high current bursts through the battery to blow apart any filament shorts. If this is the case it's a short term (pardon the pun) solution at best.

Personally I have had no luck recovering old NiCd batteries.

Most Interstate Battery stores will rebuild them as well. I really like the performance of the new cells from Interstate.

I think a Dewalt 18v runs around $35

We have a place, Battery Specialty, that rebuilds them. My work drill/impact battery rebuild was about $50. Company paid. My personal one at home needs a new/rebuilt battery and I'm a tightwad! So, I guess its not worth a try..........

Thanks to All!

I had a few of my batteries rebuilt at the Dewalt store. I think it was $25 for my 7.2 screw gun.
