I thought I would drop this note for any newbie electrical contractors in New Jersey wondering where the heck their pressure seals are. After our license holder was finally notified his bond was good and all the paperwork approved, he got the letter (after asking for it) that says you can sign permits and use the letter in lieu of the seal. Well that 6 month grace period ran out, and we called the BOEE about 30 times and finally someone sent us another letter good for another 6 months. Come to find out that it seems NJ dropped the contract with the previous firm providing the seals before they qualified the new company. I'm betting that he gets to his next renewal without the seal.

By the way, you must raise a long, vocal, stink to get your letter. Unlike DCA, these folks are as useless as you-know-whats on a bull.
