I'd compare it to sharpening saw blades or chain saw blades-- takes care and patience-- and the right tools. If the sharpening heats the dies and they lose their temper, they may make a few punches, but quickly go dull.So I would say replace them and not try to sharpen reshape them? That is what I am getting that would save time, be reliable when my guys need them in the field. Cost more now but pays for itself when the time comes.
