If an Antenna Discharge Unit (ADU) is positioned in close proximity to building steel, which is in turn a member of the Grounding Electrode System (GES), must it's Grounding Electrode Conductor (GEC) bypass termination with the building steel in favor of being routed all the way back to the building's Intersystem Bonding Termination (IBT)?

It would seem that the impedance of the building steel would be much lower than that of the GEC and would better perform the intended function.

Just install a #6 CU jumper from the building steel to the antenna. No need to run all the way back to the service equipment.
