We are renovating an existing substation, demolishing an existing 600A, 13.8kV fused switch and droping in a new 15000KVA, 13.8kV to 480Y/277V Delta-Wye main transformer in its place, we are re-terminating the existing MV conductors (fed from the utility load break switch) to the new transformer primary side. We are specifying a ground ring around the concrete pad and connecting it to the XO lug on the secondary side of the transformer. From there we are bringing the 4 wires to a new switchgear and the bonding jumper from neutral to ground is done via busbars in the switchgear.

Do we need to bond the existing ground conductor (previously bonded to demolished MV fused switch) to the new transformer enclosure and bring it to a common point (ground bus?) with the XO ground connection of the secondary side?

The existing grounding conductor is the fault clearing path for a fault on the primary side and needs to be bonded to the enclosure.
