Another hurricane Michael job here..... this building was under 4’ of water. I am installing a new 100/3 disconnect and loadcenter to bypass existing service to give power for de-humidifiers and temporary lighting.

See new disconnect here ....

We will disconnect the secondaries in this CT cabinet that go to the existing service and tap our new secondary feeder to utility wires.

The existing service is on the exterior just around the corner from this CT cabinet; probably 25’LF.

What I would like to do is connect my GEC to that existing 250 ungrounded conductor that goes to that existing service and make that my GEC; it’s bonded already to the water, gas, and electrode.

Is there anything in the code that prohibits me from doing so?

That is RMC entering the CT cabinet but I have not verified yet if it transitions to non-metallic.
