watersupply in class 1 area

i have question about the main water supply comming into a building that is rated class1 div 1 . when the service is up graded and the ground conductor is connected to the water pipe, shouldn't this be a dangerous condition since current can be present on the egc? how would some of you handle this?

Article 505 is for Class and Zone locations. The question is about Class and Division locations. That would be Article 501. However like you I have no idea what the question is.

The rules in Art 250 apply unless modified by chapter 5. See 90.3
With a properly installed EGC system there will be no arcing and sparking.
