Gas Piping

I am a electrical contractor in westchester county. I am trying to get a clarification on the correct way to bond the gas piping system. We have been told to size it as you would the main service bonding jumper and bond it as soon as it enters the building. We have been told to bond it to the equipment it supplies. We have been told to bond it to any cold water pipe

Just need to find out the correct installation

Thanks Pat S.

Here is an illustration and some commentary from Mike Holts training material that may help.

Author?s Comment: To remove dangerous voltage from ground fault, electrically conductive metal water piping systems, metal sprinkler piping, metal gas piping, and other metal piping systems, as well as exposed structural steel members that are likely to become energized, must be bonded to an effective ground-fault current path in accordance with (A), (B), and (C) [250.4(A)(4)].

(B) Other Metal-Piping Systems. Metal piping systems, such as gas or air piping that is likely to become energized must be bonded to an effective ground-fault current path. The equipment grounding (bonding) conductor for the circuit that may energize the piping can serve as the bonding means.

Author?s Comment:
Because the equipment grounding (bonding) conductor for the circuit that may energize the piping can serve as the bonding means, no action is required. Figure 250-25
