    Building Construction Book

Anyone aware of a book out there that describe the process involved in constructing a new construction building? Thanks.

What type of building? What type of construction? What do you hope to learn?

Two magazines to check out: Fine Homebuilding and Journal of Light Construction. Both are aimed at building homes, garages, and other stuff that (usually) doesn't require steelworkers.

For houses, and for a how-to manual, I'm a fan of:

        Robert Roskind
Building Your Own House (Vol 1) (Exteriors)
Building Your Own House (Vol 2) (Interiors)

        Cheers, Wayne

Commercial multistory building. The process of how it's built...what trades installed first etc.

I think it's a closely guarded secret that's been handed down by word of mouth since the building of the tower of babble.

                  ...............

                  There's a:

                  1. Babble

                  2. Babbel

                  and then, there's a

                  3. Babel

                  Which one is it?

Sorry for my incorrect spelling of babel.

The humorous idea that I was wishing to convey is that things are still done the same as when they built the "Tower of Babel" . I'm referring to the last part of the story where no one has any idea of what anyone else is doing (saying).
