Box question....

I need to have multiple runs of 14/2 or 14/3 to end in a minimum 2 gang box. I am debating a 2 gang metal box with and extension on it (2x6 walls) or would you use a 3 gang (not sure the cu inches) with a reducing cover to 2 gang. I am looking for 46 cu inches.

Any thoughts?

A deep 4-11 (42 cubic inches) and a 2-gang mud ring (6.3 cubic inches) will get you what you need.

I opt to go with regular depth 1900 bracketed, with the extension then ring. I've also done the 11B many many times
