On a cellular site we did the grounding and power wiring for, two of the rods were terminated inside what were called 'test wells', and looked like those.

Cool, I used to work around a bunch of those a couple years ago doing some testing with some of the support engineers. Do you recall how much lbs those were rated for, the one in the submittal I got is rated for light traffic (9 lbs)

We used vitrified clay tiles for ground rod test wells for years but recently switched to Quazite boxes because they are much more durable. This looks like a product that would be more impact resistant than clay tiles and cheaper than name brand Quazite boxes.

Around our communication towers they just use the plastic water meter boxes for the test/inspection points for the rods. The boxes are inside the fenced in area away from vehicle traffic.
