Hello,

Is it typical to house VFD in an external enclosure for Nema 1 or IP21 rated VFDs? I've got control relays and some reset PBs that I need to locate in a control panel in addition to control transformer. It sounds like putting the VFD and aux. devices in a control panel/enclosure makes sense and provides additional protection.

Thanks,
EE

Make sure there is sufficient ventilation is main thing.

Doesn't necessarily need to be a powered vent, but if you trap too much heat in your enclosure drive will trip on high temp limit.
