I'm going to take my 2015 E1 and 2014 E2. I've been giving some advice on them but looking for some more. I have the E1 residential inspector study guide on the NEC from quick pass and the same for the E2. I have already studied for and taken my first E1. I failed (partially because I hadn't taken a test in 20 years but also didn't feel my study guide helped prepare me properly.) I'm having trouble finding proper study help.

IMO, if you try to memorize answers and memorize questions you will not get anywhere.

Any study material that is code related will do you just fine. You need to learn how to navigate the code book. Once you are comfortable with that then you can any code related exam that they throw at you.

If you study Mike Holt's exam prep book that will get you more than ready for the exam. Assuming you will practice looking up key words through your code book.
