When I took the Texas Master Electrician exam last year, it was given by ICC. Did Prometric take over..?

I just thought they sat as a moderator for these tests, the licensing board issues the test, what Am I missing? :-?

It can't be as simple as going to major chain resturant and knowing what they sever-up is is? :grin:

I took my ICC Master this year. TDLR sent out notice that come September only Prometric test will be accepted for any electrician license.

The irony is, there will be no test site here in Austin, the home of TDLR.:roll:

If Prometric is involved, they most likely are writing and presenting the test as well. They are one of the largest test providers in the country...a huge company that has been swallowing up the smaller competition.

Those who are Prometric savvy, I was wondering -do you know if they offer the pc based test like ICC did?

Yes, Prometric offers computer based testing. Test is a little harder than ICC but better written. ICC does a horrible job of writing test questions.

I looked thru Prometric's site and I don't find anything on the state license. Only city and county links.
