Hello. I was just finishing the Mike Holt Master/Contractor simulated exam. The Solution for Question 8 in part 3 is confusing me. The solution uses a reference to 430.24(A)...but there is no (A). 430.24 says "....all other motors in the GROUP." It doesn't say anything about "....all other motors on the same LINE" as is used in the solution. Plus, I could not find an example of a calculation for a combination of 1 phase and 3 phase motors. Also, example D8 in the back of the code book that 430.24 says to "see" would seem to indicate that different groups are either determined by different hosepower, or different characterisics like "wound rotor" or "sqiuirrel cage", I can't tell. Can anyone help me understand this?
