If you replace elec. equipment such as pump/fan motors etc., do you guys typically demo the existing cables and install new cables or just re-use existing cables?

What is the preference for something like this typically?

thanks

I don't know what the standard practice is there. I'd test and and physically inspect it. If OK, I'd reuse it.

I would check the age/type of the existing cables when evaluating whether or not to reuse it.

I think you need to look at replacements in general on a case by case basis, but if the equipment is worn out, I'd be inclined to seriously consider replacing the conductors and raceways.
