I just took over a project, just before it went out the door owing to a colleague leaving the company I just joined. The project is a replacement of the bulk oxygen storage system at a hospital. So my part is powering of alarm panels, pressure sensor and other control wiring, etc all associated with the system. What jumped out at me right away was that the 120V power was taken off an Equipment Branch panel. It seems clear to me that 517.33(C)(2) and (3) (since Oxygen is non-flammable) require the source of power to be Life Safety. The reason my predecessor used the Equipment branch, or so I assume is that the existing system is on the equipment branch. I think that's perhaps just owed to its age and that perhaps that was permissible when it was put in. Anyway, I'm just looking for a sanity check that power for this system must come from the Life Safety branch. Much appreciated! Mike
