The NEC states minimum size is # 14 sec 110-6. but a note stating check your local code , in some local codes the min. size is # 12. I have always used # 12 as a minimum conductor in commercial and industrial. Is this a Florida Building Code? And not an NEC Code. Where can I get the proof? Thanks

Re: minimum conductor allowed in commercial and industrial

The short answer is 240.4(D). 14 AWG is the smallest conductor allowed on a 15-amp circuit, and 12 AWG on a 20-amp circuit.

yeah dereck but just check the state codes sometime they have amendent add to it (in state of wis say commercal min is 12 ga for 15 amp crks ) so therefore best bet is check the local and state codes to find out for your area it can varies and check with inspecter too. many time i use common sense for 15 and 20 amps crks and depend on location it will termated( set up )
