Raceway for walk-in freezer.

What raceways are permitted in a walk-in freezer for lighting circuits? The installers have the switches mounted in the freezer wall and left bell boxes for connecting the switch legs to the lights. I wanted to use nonmetallic flexible conduit but am concerned about temperature rating and physical damage.

I usually use EMT with compression fittings. If it is a restaurant, the health inspector is probably not going to allow flex inside a walk-in cooler.

Depending upon where the conduit will be located, I will run EMT with WP seal connectors in areas not subject to racks hitting it, but in rack areas I will run RMC, unless some kind of protection can be provided.

The last one I did, all the wiring was done outside of the freezer and the light box was a sealed type box the freezer company supplied that was mounted into the ceiling with the back accessible from the top. light switches was outside.
