When using a viltage drop calculator and it says 1 way distance is that half the length of the run? If you have a 1000' run of 3phase 480v. Do you put in 1000 or 500?

Thanks

Usually you will use the 1000 ft for 3 phase. On single phase some calculators will tell you to use 1 way distance and then it will double the distance to include the neutral. Does the calculator you are referring to say to use only half the distance?

One-way distance is the length of one wire between [voltage] supply terminal and load terminal. What we typically call the run length is also the one-way [circuit] distance. For your example, it is 1000'.

Bob provided essentially the same answer. I just thought a little diffferent wording may make it more understandable.
