I?ve terminated 33KV. I?ll be honest, I wouldn?t know where to start with that. The manufacturers give a destruction manual with the termination kit but to do it and be around when it?s made live, no thank you.

I think its rather awesome that with a reasonable voltage of 480v, you can push 42kVA 300ft through a pair of 8 AWG in a pipe for A+B with the pipe also serving as C/ground through two fuses. All within 5% drop. You'd need a set of 2/0 with single phase 240/120 to carry the same... and the third conductor doesn't add useful power.
