American Switch Panel

Replaced a breaker recently in an apt with an old American Switch panel. I never heard of this one before. Had mostly Siemens breakers and a few CH. I used a Siemens and it fit well, locked tight.

Anyone familiar with this brand and know who acquired it?

I think it was just a Bryant clone.

American Switch Company is the original long form name of what we now call ASCO, who makes transfer switches and valves. ASCO is now part of Emerson and they dumped the switchgear / panel mfr business years ago when that happened. They never actually made their own breakers, they used Westinghouse / Bryant "interchangeable" types (back when that was a legitimate term to use).
