How does one determine the Amperage rating of an existing Load Center?
The old label on the door is useless.

If you don't have a label or a part number, all you can do is guess. Main Breaker size (if any) is a possible indicator but not a good one because the panel bus MIGHT be rated higher, or lower if someone before you messed up.
