we are bidding out a job to run a bunch of low voltages line throughout an existing building. Are their restrictions for how LOW data lines can be ran? I’m looking at running the lines UNDER all existing wires (pretty much on top of the ceiling grid) and then simply supporting as needed after we are done. The wires will not be touching any part of the grid when we are finished. They will be approx 8-10” above the grid system. I have looked over the NEC and cannot find any fault with this method. Does this sound like something I could do here for the application?

Sure. As long as they are not supported by the ceiling or grid and its hanger wires you are OK. They can be even be touching the ceiling or grid but not resting on it.
