I have a 4 kV Metal Enclosed switchgear. It is 106" wide, 90" tall, and depth of 37". All access to the interior is done through the front.
I'm planning an installation of a 20 kVA, 208 V input, 3-phase UPS on the same wall, as space is limited in this room. The limited wall space would require that the UPS sit right next to the switchgear. I can maybe get 10" of lateral clearance from the switchgear.
Is this ok? Any code violation here?
I'm looking over NEC '17, 110.34(b) where it talks about separation from low-voltage equipment. But this mentions proximity to exposed live parts.
The switchgear is a metal enclosure. And the UPS is inside a cabinet. Am I good to put these two next to each other?
