last hunter i installed was too noisey for my customer. took it back installed cheapo. quite as can be. they're all chinese. crap shoot really. i never buy any lights etc at lowe's anymore. they don't go together right. just junk. fans tho could be make by anybody. dont buy anything that says Utilitech on it.

I've had great luck with the $50 fans from the box stores. I remember Bob (Iwire) saying a similar thing years ago.

I was in Lowe's yesterday, fans have gone up.

Well, sure; ceilings are higher.

The fix is to use a longer downrod.
