Good point, especially since I would not use FOP to describe what I would call a voltage drop test across the terminals of the breaker.

When I hear Fall of Potential used, I pretty much instantly think about grounding electrode resistance tests.

I'm other way around, done many more FOP tests across a switch, breaker, etc. than for grounding electrode testing.

The test you are doing is what I would call a voltage drop test.

All the more reason not to use acronyms or initialisms.

Well then it is a VDT

But isn't anything indicated on a volt meter a VDT?
