Calculating Operating Load Based On Connected Load

Hello,

I am interested in understanding how to calculate Operating Load (HP, kW) of a single motor if I have the nameplate Connected Load only. Is this information located in an NEC table, perhaps? I have looked through at length and cannot find it.

I don't understand your use of the phrase "connected load," in connection with a motor. But I think you might find your answer in tables 430.248 through 430.250. We don't use nameplate values for calculation purposes. We start with HP and voltage, look up the FLA in the table, and calculate KW from there.
