Disconnecting means for a unit heater

I am wiring a gas unit heater, The breaker is about 50' away in-site. I plan on putting a switch right next to it about 3' away. The heater will be 15' in the air. Does that meet the disconnecting means for a unit heater installation?

50' or less away and the circuit breaker will qualify as the disconnecting means. You can add one next to the unit if you want.
