How motor terminal construction is getting affected & different in Ex eb vs Ex ec motors as per IEC 60079-7 vs 2015. How motor terminal box terminal or lug for Ex ec motors have changed with respect to earlier Ex nA motors.

While the US is signatory to IEC Standards, it does not associate directly with ATEX.

This website deals with the US NEC, while several NEC Zone "AEx" protection techniques are similar to ATEX/IEC "Ex", they are not identical. (Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what "Ex ec" is at all)

I suggest you query this website as far more international engineers participate there.
