?. emergency lighting required ahead of local lighting switched.

so the requirement for a separate circuit for emerg. lighting not on same local lighting is when you have 3 or more local lighting circuits?

is this correct. is it located in nec. I can't find it. or is it in the nfpa, or is it local ordinance requirement? (orlando, florida)

I believe if the wiring is for a legally required standby system then the emergency lights need to be on a separate circuit from the standard wiring circuits
