Plans show door jamb switch. Jamb is commercial door metal jamb. my concern with using high or low volt switch is that it will protrud and cause door closing issues. With wood jamb it can be chiseled flush but not sure how to apply to metal jamb. Anyone ever had this issue? TIA

While I have never used them on a steel door I have had good luck with "Better Switch" door switches. They use a 3/8 hole in the door and the jamb and work like an alarm contact.

Use captive nuts on the switch plate and slide it inside the jamb channel to be held with flat head screws in countersunk holes?

If they order the door frames correctly there will be a spot for it.
That said I would push for a motion sensor instead.
