Yes, and if there is a local requirement for them in a central location you could probably use a remote trip button to shut them down.

There is really no specification of required location of the multiple services. 230.2(E) states that each service has to identify the other service as to imply it may not be in that area. 230.72(B) states that the disconnecting means for fire pumps, legally required standby and optional standby services permitted by 230.2 shall be installed remote from the service disconnect means of the normal service.

I dont know why someone would want to shut them down but it seems like it's the first thing the fire department want's to do upon ariving at a fire.
