hi need to know what article i can look up for what size wire.you can color code for a 220 load i ran a black white and green in three quarter pvc and the inspector.made me change the white to black.i think in florida they are still using 99 code book

stanzee, there is a rule about marking and size. Basicly it says you can use a non-white conductor for the grounded conductor if you remark it at both ends and it is #4awg and larger.

#s 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 have to be white for grounded conductors.

Stallcups 99 code changes, The white conductor used as an hot to the switch for an halfhot just needs to be colored blk, ie. tape, sharpe ect...
