Spider Box Supply Cord

Since a spider box is 3r rated, if a supply cord is made up to feed the spider box, is the cord required to have a weatherproof connection on both the male plug and the female connector where it attaches to the cord ?

or

Will the standard clamp type cord connector and plug suffice?

I don't think the fact that the box is weatherproof has anything to do with it. You can use a weatherproof box indoors, and nothing else needs to be weatherproof, barring other rules. Yes, you'd want weatherproof cord caps outdoors, or molded from the factory. Though limited usage might be permissible; as in stringing out a cord and using it in dry weather, then putting it away. Whether or not OSHA or other AHJs have an issue is a separate matter.
