SEC routing

I have no pics for this:

1. Attached garage right side of home.
2. Meter and main disconnect on outer right wall.
3. Main panel is in the basement, which would be on the left side of the garage, 1 floor down.
4. Garage converted to living space by framing a floor and creating a 18" or so crawlspace over the original floor slab.
5. No access to the crawlspace.
6. SEC from the outside main travels through this crawlspace (about 20 feet) to the basement panel.

My question, is it OK for SEC to be inaccessible like this?

Cables do not need to be accessible just the equipment and splices if there are any

They are not SEC if there's a disconnect, it's a feeder

IMO, SEC is service entrance cable-- it can be SEU or SER.

Fair enough. I was thinking "service entrance conductors". Just wanted to make sure the right terms were being used :angel:

I assumed that was what Tony meant. I hope se conductors are not run exposed in the crawl space.
