A customer complained that their master bathroom indoor jacuzzi did not have gfci protection. Their panel box is an older QO square D. The QO square D gfci breaker I bought was designed so that it would not fit in this panel box. The customer is wanting a solution on the cheap because they are selling the house. Can I cut the jacuzzi dedicated circuit wire in the attic and install an accessible gfci plug near the attic access door for the jacuzzi tub located in the master bathroom? There is no emergency shut off for the jacuzzi, but I see that isn't necessary for a single family dwelling.
