All,

Running some 12g NM for a circuit in my basement to power can lights. The previous owner had utilized 20A breakers and 12 gauge wire for everything so I continued with that theme.

Here are two pictures of wire going through a floor joist. In retrospect I probaly should have drilled the hole further from the box, but hindsight is...

My quesions are:

Is the bend radius ok? Iknow it's supposed to be 5x the wire diameter.

Do I need to secure the wire on the box side of the joist (which would be hard to do at this point) or can I secure it on the backside as long as it's within 12" of the junction box?

Thanks

I definatly would get that wire off the underside of floor though!

next type of floor could utilize staples or nails, what a bummer that would be if it got hit.
