Know we spoke about this before. Have 3 separate vertical riser shafts in an electrical closet as shown. I’m running EM conduits. I’m running EMT and XHHW. According to 700.9 I think I’m okay and maintaining a hour rating as the closet is 1 hour rated and I fulfill 700.9 D4. The only thing that’s a little fuzzy is that D4 says “only emergency circuits”. Would it matter of there was a normal conduit riser in same closet right next to the EM? Thanks.

hi lucky - the code is clear as day on this whether a hospital - health care facility or other - - These emergency circuits shall be isolated and connected to the buildings alternative power supply or its generator, don't confuse general branch circuits with emergency circuits, general allows mixture so long as all conductors are the same size, material etc, you didn't say the occupancy type, with limited info I hope this helps. Happy Easter Jim:lol:
